On Mac

The easiest way on a Mac: press Option + G. This instantly inserts the © symbol in any app.

Alternatively, go to Edit → Emoji and Symbols in any app, search for copyright, and double-click it to insert.

On Windows

Several methods work on Windows:

  • Alt code: Hold Alt and type 0169 on the numeric keypad, then release Alt
  • Windows emoji panel: Press Windows + Period (.), search for copyright, and click it
